JET Programme

The Embassy of Japan in Hungary offers of the 2018 Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme to the Hungarian as below.

 

  1. Type of Position: Coordinators for International Relations (CIR)
  2. Number of place: 1
  3. Period: 1 year from 2018 summer
  4. Location of working: Kazuno-city, Akita-Prefecture
  5. Purpose of this offer: Kazuno-city, a sister city of Sopron, is the Host Town of Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This city wants the Hungarian to assist them for implementing the sports/culture exchange projects as well as strengthening the relationship between Kazuno-city and Sopron.

Qualification

The applicants are required to meet all the qualifications described in the guidelines (See Section 3: Eligibility criteria). In addition, the Hungarian applicants are required to meet the following conditions.

 

  1. Excellent Japanese language skills (desirably, JPLT N1 level or equivalent level)
  2. High motivation to work in Japan

  2. Complete (a) Application form and (b) Self-Report of Medical Conditions
    Note: Handwritten documents will NOT be accepted.
  3. Complete the documents below
     (e) Essay
     (f) Letters of Reference
     (g) Certified Record/Transcript of all colleage/university courses
     (h) Certification of Graduation
     (i) Document showing your nationality
     (j) Teaching or language proficiency qualifications
     (k) Criminal Record (if any)
  4. Send electric files (without signature) of (a), (b) and (e) by e-mail by 29 March 2018 (Thursday).
  5. Print and Sign documents (a), (b) and (e).
  6. Submit all documents to the Embassy of Japan in Hungary so that they can reach the Embassy no later than 29 March 2018 (Thursday).

 

NOTES:

  • As for documents (a), (b) and (e), handwritten one will never be accepted (except signature).
  • Submitted documents will not be returned.
  • If there are missing information on the application form or missing documents, your may fail to the first screening. Therefore, it is highly requested to review all the documents before submission.

Selection Process Schedule and Details

  • 29 March : Application deadline
  • April : First screening
  • Mid of April : Second screening (Interview)
  • May : Notification of result
  • June - July : Pre-departure orientation and preparation
  • 5 August : Arrival in Japan
